Everything seemed to be falling apart, and I was struggling to keep it together. How could a set of skills help me navigate through such a tough time? But as I started applying them, I realized how much they were changing my life. The skills were like a lifeline, guiding me through moments of intense emotional distress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">One of the most impactful skills was <strong>\u201cDistract with Acceptable Activities.\u201d<\/strong> Whenever I felt my emotions becoming too overwhelming, I\u2019d engage in activities like reading or taking a walk.
